Brief of IK series soot blowers

 

IK series sootblowers are used for blowing the accumulated ash and slag on the heating surface of the boiler. They are mainly used to remove ash and slag on the superheater, reheater and economizer, and can also be used to remove ash on the furnace top and tube air preheater.
 

The blowing cycle starts when the soot blowing gun is in the starting position. After the power supply is turned on, the motor drives the running car to move forward along the guide rails on both sides of the beam, sending the sootblowing gun into the boiler. After the nozzle enters the furnace, the running car opens the valve and the soot blowing begins. The running car continues to rotate the soot blowing gun into the boiler until it reaches the front end limit, then the running car reverses and guides the gun barrel backward with a different soot blowing trajectory than when it was moving forward. When the nozzle approaches the furnace wall, the valve closes and soot blowing stops. The running car backs up to the start. At any time the soot blower can not stop in the middle position, the soot blower hit the front limit switch should be automatically backward immediately, without human control.

 

1. IK type long retractable soot blower


1.1 There are three types of IK type long retractable soot blower: IK-525, IK-545, IK-555, which have the same structure and installation method. According to the orientation of the electrical control box on the beam, there are two kinds of structures: left control and right control, in order to adapt to the site installation space. If the boiler column and other steel structures are very close to the soot blowing holes and the left-controlled soot blower cannot be installed, the right-controlled soot blower can be installed. If the right-controlled sootblower cannot be installed, the left-controlled sootblower can also be installed. Please note this when lifting. (The same applies to the temperature measuring probe).
1.2 The nature of the soot build-up is different in different parts of the boiler. Therefore, the IK type long retractable soot blower is designed with different manufacturing parameters, such as the recommended soot blowing pressure, the traveling speed of the runner, the rotating speed, the material of the barrel, and the caliber of the nozzle are different. Therefore, when lifting the long sootblower to the boiler installation part, please refer to the sootblower layout drawing provided by the boiler plant and our company, and the installation number on the sootblower body nameplate to be lifted, "fit to the right number".
1.3 In order to facilitate the lifting of the soot blower, lifting lugs are welded on the upper part of the beam for lifting. In the process of lifting and installing, the wire rope must not be used to pocket the side plate of the beam body to avoid deformation of the beam body and scrapping of the soot blower. In addition, soot blower in lifting, each time can only hang a, if a hanging several, soot blower squeeze each other collision, will cause damage.
1.4 sootblower front and furnace wall connection, must check the furnace wall openings, the size of the wall casing is not consistent with the drawings, is not the sootblowing lance tube in and out of the dry with, such as dry with the inevitable elimination, or sootblowers are installed after the installation of very difficult to operate normally.

1.5 There are two ways of connecting the long retractable sootblower to the boiler, with slightly different structures for the wall box and the furnace wall interface sealing box, one being the sootblower's wall box welded to the interface casing, and the other being the sootblower's wall box welded directly to the panel of the furnace wall sealing box.
1.5.1 First connection
The wall box stop is set into the interface casing and welded after squaring. Weld to ensure that the wall box and casing vertical, the wall box on both sides of the pin hole in the same level. When removing the wall box from the soot blower body and installing it, pay attention to: the opening of the wall box is eccentric, and its up and down direction cannot be inverted.
1.5.2 Second each connection
Weld the wall box to the sealing box, spot weld first, and make sure that the wall box is concentric with the opening of the furnace wall when spot welding. Otherwise, there may be jamming when the barrel goes in and out. When welding, pay attention to: the up and down direction of the wall box can not be inverted.
1.6 In order to ensure the hydrophobic angle of soot blower in the hot state, and to ensure that the soot blowing lance tube does not dry with the steam pipe in the furnace when it is extended into the furnace. The installation chart provided by our company is clearly labeled with the expansion data of the boiler and the data of the soot blower's tail lifting up or lowering, deviating from the left or right, so be sure to refer to the adjustment when installing the soot blower.
1.7 The rear end support of soot blower should be welded according to the position of the boiler steel frame, which is sure to be supported or lifted on site. The support shaft of the rear-end support should be located at the rear end of the slot hole about 25MM, the slot plate and beam welding, the current should not be too large, should not be full welding, to protect the cable in the beam from damage.
1.8 After the soot blower is installed, check whether the air valve, elbow, plug, etc. is tight; check whether the air valve row direction is correct, is not vertical.
1.9 Some sootblowers are equipped with pressure switches, check whether the joints are tight.

 

2. IK-EL long lance type long retractable soot blower
IK-EL type extended lance soot blower is a derivative of the ordinary IK type soot blower, the installation requirements of the ordinary IK type soot blower should be satisfied, but also pay attention to the following points:
2.1 Weld the extended part of soot blower on site. When welding, the straightness of the barrel should be ensured, the quality of the weld should be guaranteed (argon arc welding is required to hit the bottom), and the outer surface of the weld should be ground smooth.
2.2 Connect the front end of soot blower with boiler.
2.3 Adjust the rear end of the soot blower so that the hydrophobic slope of the soot blower and soot blowing lance tube is in the ideal position when the boiler is running in hot state, and install the furnace pallet so that it will support the soot blowing lance tube into a straight line.
2.4 Adjust the rear end from the beginning to make it conform to the dimensional requirements (i.e. the offset of the rear end in the vertical and horizontal directions) of the sootblower in cold installation as indicated in the relevant installation charts, and then fix the rear end.

 

3. IR-3D type furnace soot blower


3.1 IR-3D type soot blower is packed in wooden box. When installing, the whole packing box should be lifted to the platform and then opened. In the process of handling, it is not allowed to tumble upside down to avoid damaging the soot blower.
3.2 IR-3D sootblower is not divided into installation numbers.
3.3 Before the soot blower is put into position, the boiler furnace wall opening and interface casing should be checked beforehand. Interface casing to be perpendicular to the furnace wall, its inner diameter shall not be less than Ф79, to ensure that the bore from the interface casing into the furnace, there is no interference with any foreign matter, in order to avoid sootblowing gun in and out of the friction, resulting in sootblower overload. This is to ensure the normal operation of the soot blower is one of the important conditions.
3.4 IR-type soot blower and boiler connection also has two kinds of ways. Wall box and furnace wall interface sealing box structure is slightly different. One is the sootblower wall box (flange) and welded to the boiler interface casing welding; the other is the sootblower wall box directly with the interface sealing box panel welding.
3.4.1 The first type of connection:
Weld the wall box flange to the interface casing, spot weld first and weld firmly after checking and passing.
3.4.2 The second connection method:
Spot weld the wall box with the interface sealing box panel to ensure that the inner hole of the wall box is concentric with the opening of the furnace wall, check and pass and then weld firmly.
3.5 Measure the distance "A" from the water-cooled wall to the fire surface to the flange surface of the wall box.
3.6 Positioning of the nozzle: extend the threaded pipe of the soot blower forward to the limit position, screw the nozzle equipped with a lock nut into the threaded pipe, so that the distance from the center of the nozzle to the soot blower body before the supporting flange carbon is A + 38MM
3.7 Adjust the nozzle to ensure that the nozzle is facing up or down when blowing, then tighten the lock nut, spot weld the lock nut and the nozzle, spot weld the lock nut and the threaded pipe.
Note: The spot welding can not be too high, and the surface of the threaded pipe should be smoothed out, otherwise it will affect the sootblower back to the position.
The following describes a way that does not require the threaded pipe to be extended to the front limit:
Soot blower factory, the stroke is adjusted to 267MM, when the soot blower pipe is fully extended, the distance from the front face of the threaded pipe to the interface flange face is exactly 267MM, when adjusting the scene, there is no need to extend the threaded pipe, as long as the control of the center of the nozzle to the distance from the front face of the threaded pipe is good.
Such as: when the water-cooled wall to the fire surface to the wall box flange surface distance A = 320MM.
Adjust the distance from the center of the nozzle to the end face of the threaded pipe is: 320 + 38-267 = 91 (MM).
That is to say, as long as the control of the nozzle center to the front face of the screw pipe is 91MM, the installation size can be guaranteed.
Soot blower in the factory, in order to make the rear travel switch is not pressed for a long time, the threaded pipe (gun tube) slightly forward, its location has a front and a back, such as found that the threaded pipe end face shrinks in the front support flange end face, okay spot welding, can be used to shake the threaded pipe slightly rocking forward a little.
3.8 Connect the soot blower with the wall box flange and tighten the four bolts evenly.
3.9 Tighten the air valve, elbow and plug. The air valve is installed vertically to ventilate the atmosphere.
3.10 Soot blower valve and piping continuous, can not make the soot blower to undergo unreasonable external forces. The pipe of the furnace soot blower must be supported on the steel beam that expands with the boiler and has enough flexibility. Otherwise, the downward expansion of the boiler in the hot state will produce excessive stress on the sootblower and overload the sootblower during operation.

 

4.G9B fixed rotary soot blower


4.1 The blowing angle of G9B soot blower on one boiler is not necessarily the same, please refer to the drawings and other technical data when lifting. Also the same as IR sootblower, the packing box will be lifted to the platform and then open the box.
4.2 Check the interface casing to ensure that it is perpendicular to the furnace wall, and the end face of the casing should be flush and perpendicular to its axis.
4.3 Extend the barrel into the furnace, the wall box flange stop into the interface casing, soot blower and barrel connection, adjust the blowing orientation, adjust the center of the nozzle and the outer surface of the tube size.
4.4 Withdraw the soot blower together with the lance tube, spot weld the pipe joint to the hollow shaft and the pipe joint to the lance tube.
4.5 Weld the wall box flange with the interface casing, ensure verticality when welding.
4.6 Weld the furnace bracket wrench, the sootblowing gun tube bracket flat, and ensure that the gun tube and the interface casing concentric.
4.7 tighten the air valve, elbow, plug. The air valve is vertically open to the atmosphere. The tube connected with soot blower valve should be flexible enough.

 

5.IK-AH type air preheater soot blower


5.1I K-AH type soot blower gun tube is tie piece, group welding in the furnace during installation.
Note: The caliber of the nozzles on the barrel is different. When welding, it should be made so that the small caliber end is in the front (near the air preheater shaft) and the large caliber end is in the back (near the shell).
5.2 When IK-AH type soot blower is installed, it is necessary to ensure that the interface casing is horizontal and the barrel and casing are concentric.
