XRQ Oil Burner

 

1. Application and Features

XRQ-11 oil burner is designed by XCC and is applicable for main boilers in small or large scale of boiler in industries as medium and small petrochemical, metallurgy, electric power, construction products, and mechanic. The burner has auxiliary auto ignition device, flame scanner, and oil supply system as client need.

3. System Overview

The XRQ-11 oil burner for 20t/h start-up boiler burns 0# light diesel oil, and ignite the ignition oil gun with HEA exciter, then the ignition oil gun may ignite the main oil gun. The ignition process is reliable.

3.1. Start-up Burner

The XRQ-11 oil burner consists of air distributor, main oil gun, ignition oil gun, flame holder, spark rod, flame scanner, air damper regulator, air and oil regulator, and oil pipeline.

The position of the oil gun is fixed. The spark rod is advanced to oil gun atomizing zone by electric actuator, and then is retracted after ignition oil gun is ignited. Then the ignition oil gun ignites main oil gun that reduces hearth pressure fluctuation. The air distributor, air damper regulator is shutter with single slice that reduced air resistance, and reinforced balance. Consequently, the air and atomized oil are even mixed, and is easy to be heated and ignited. The air and oil regulator regulates air velocity and oil gun capacity in certain rate automatically.

4. Installation and Regulation

4.1. Burner Installation: fix the mounting flanges on boiler wall and burner together with 12M16×50 bolts. Fix the mounting flanges of air inlet and air duct with 14 M12×45 bolts.

4.2. Insert two oil guns and HEA exciter into tubes respectively, adjusting their positions and fix with connecting plates.

4.3. After installation, move the flexible parts of oil gun and spark rod. If there is any block, find the cause.

4.4. Electrifying, check the signal correctness of spark rod advanced and spark rod retracted. If there is any error, regulate the stroke switch and check wiring.

4.5. After regulation, close the box tightly, and protect it from dust.

 

5. Operation Steps

5.1. Ignition

5.1. Ignition: check oil pipeline, and open all the manual valves. Press electric actuator start button, and advance spark rod to oil gun front. Open the air and oil regulator to 40%. Press HEA exciter ignition button, and open the oil inlet electric valve of ignition oil gun in front of burner, then the fuel is atomized combusting (the HEA exciter may not work over 30s continuously). The flame on signal is sent from flame scanner when the combustion is stable. Open oil inlet electric valve and oil return electric valve of main oil gun. Oil in the main oil gun is atomized combusting. Close oil inlet valve of ignition oil gun. When signals from flame scanner indicate stable combustion, then the ignition is succeeded. (The oil gun front pressure shall be maintained between 2.8~3.5Mpa).

5.1.2. If the ignition is failed, close oil inlet valve and oil return valve immediately. Fully open the air damper to clean residual atomized oil in boiler, retract two oil guns, and clean the residual oil.

5.1.3. Repeat step (1) when all residual oil and gas are cleaned in boiler.

5.1.4. If the ignition is failed continuously, stop ignition, and find the cause, then repeat the steps above till the ignition is succeeded.

Notice: cause of initial ignition failure : 1). Improper ignition position, 2). The combustion air damper shall be turn down, 3) oil gun or pipeline blocked.

5.2. Load regulation

5.2.1. Air supply and oil gun capacity shall be regulated by the air damper on air and oil regulator with certain ratio that has been made before delivery. When the air pressure and air flux are largely changed and affects normal combustion, please regulate the oil return regulating valve of oil gun in air and oil regulator (please see valve manual for regulating method). When there is smoke during combustion,

please fix the air damper, turn up returned oil amount, and reduce outlet oil amount. When the flame is too bright (high excessive air ratio), please turn down returned oil amount, and raise outlet oil amount, so as to match the air damper action. Then adjusting regulating valve and fixing the stem on air and oil regulator.

5.2.2. The thermal load regulation shall balance the oil pressure, or the oil gun may leak oil or flame out.

5.2.3. Flame shape regulation. The flame shape could be regulated through the manual stem on control panel.

When the stem is turned to 90 °, the flame at burner outlet is extended to be longer. When the stem is turned to 0°, the flame at burner outlet is extended to be shorter and wider.

5.2.4. The designed working requirements of the burner: the oil pressure shall be 2.8-3.5 MPa, the oil viscidity shall be no more than 6°E. If there is any inaccuracy, please correct it.

5.3. Stop

5.3.1. When the burner is stopped, close the oil inlet and oil return valve, and clean the oil pipeline and oil sprayer. Remove the residual oil, or remove the sprayer for maintenance.

5.3.2. Close air regulating valve, shutoff air supplying, and close the fan.

5.4. Maintenance

5.4.1. The burner should be maintained regularly.

5.4.2. For oil gun maintenance, remove the oil gun fix bolt, and loose oil gun tube joint, then the oil gun could be disassembled.

5.4.3. Remove and clean the sprayer cover and atomizing disk with diesel, or replace with new sprayer cover and atomizing disk.

 

6. Notice

6.1. The oil gun nozzle cap shall be tightened before operation. The threaded portion of the nozzle cap shall be coated with high-temperature grease when mounted so that it would not be blinded under excessive heat. The furnace pipeline shall be purged prior to operation. Oil strainers shall be mounted up stream of the oil gun plugging.

6.2. The fuel oil pressure and viscosity shall meet the technical requirements. If normal oil gun is employed, regularly check the atomizing and carbon deposit on the nozzle, periodically serve the oil gun.

6.3. The air shall be free of water and dusts. It shall also contain oil mist. The air pressure shall satisfy the technical requirement and the air temperature shall not higher than 45 ℃.

6.4. When disassembling and cleaning the nozzle, take care not to damage the machined surfaces of the nozzle parts. The sealing surface shall be free of dust and foreign substances. If necessary, repair or replace the sealing gaskets.
