1. Structural characteristics
Oil cooler is mainly composed of six parts, according to the different forms of cooling tubes, there are light tube type oil cooler and strengthen the heat transfer tube type, light tube type oil cooler has good pressure-bearing performance, long service life, easy to clean, simple maintenance and other characteristics, while strengthen the heat transfer tube type oil cooler has a large heat transfer area, fast heat transfer, smaller size, can be self-cleaning, suitable for small site installation and other characteristics.
 Oil coolers are divided into vertical oil coolers (Figure 1) and horizontal oil coolers (Figure 2) according to the different installation methods, vertical oil coolers have a small installation area, easy to install and other characteristics. Horizontal oil cooler has the characteristics of smaller pressure drop and strong resistance to water hammer. Therefore, according to different sites, space height, use performance and other requirements of the correct choice of vertical or horizontal oil cooler, can better meet the needs of the generator set and other equipment.

3. Installation of pistil fin oil cooler.
3.1. Preparation work before installation: oil cooler in the factory by 0.6MPa water pressure test but before installation should be in accordance with the "Technical Specification for Construction and Acceptance of Electric Power" (Turbine Chapter) provisions: "oil cooler oil side should be working pressure 1.5 times the water pressure test, keep 5 minutes without leakage, such as for wind pressure test, the pressure should be working pressure " to carry out.
3.2. Oil cooler installation.

     3.2.1. The oil cooler is supported on the bracket prepared in advance and can reliably meet its dynamic and static load requirements.
     3.2.2. Because the support bowed spacer is changed to spin flow guide plate, the direction of oil feed to the oil cooler is downward direction, do not install the reverse.

 

4. Order instructions
    4.1. The cooling area should be informed when purchasing the oil cooler. 
    4.2. Inlet oil and water temperature and inlet oil pressure and resistance drop. 
    4.3. Heat exchanger and cooling tube is generally chosen from copper, users may also need to choose stainless steel tube.
