3. Structure and function
The unit consists of an oil-hydrogen separation filter vessel and a hydrogen return filter vessel, with the fan installed in the hydrogen return filter vessel (see structure diagram). The functions are as follows
3.1. Oil removal function
The hydrogen from the generator firstly enters into the oil-hydrogen separator, there is a cyclone separation structure inside the oil-hydrogen separator, which can make the hydrogen rotate at high speed, so that the heavier vapor-liquid oil and hydrogen can be separated by centrifugal action, and the separated liquid oil is deposited in the lowest part of the separator, which can be discharged by the separator drain door (the liquid level inside the separator can be observed by the liquid level view window), and a small amount of gaseous oil and hydrogen mixture flows upward by the rising gas pipe in the middle of cyclone separator, and the rising gas pipe flows outward. A small amount of gaseous oil and hydrogen gas mixture flows upward from the middle of the cyclone separator, and there is a filtration layer in the rising gas pipe, which adopts the filter material with strong adsorption of oil and can be self-cleaning, and can filter out the oil, dust and other impurities in the hydrogen gas at one time, and can form the liquid oil to flow down after the adsorbed oil and gas reaches a certain amount, which makes the filter element self-cleaning and free of maintenance. At the same time, the filter layer has a high degree of relaxation, the wind resistance is very small, the hydrogen is easy to pass through, to ensure that the hydrogen can be a large enough flow through the filter layer. The pure hydrogen gas filtered by the filter layer flows out of the oil-hydrogen separator container and enters the dryer for drying, and the hydrogen gas coming out of the dryer then enters the hydrogen return filter container, and the main function of the hydrogen return filter container is to prevent the dust generated by the dryer due to the thermal expansion and contraction effect and wind abrasion effect from flowing back to the generator, and at the same time to prevent the oil that may flow down along the wall of the hydrogen return pipe from entering the dryer. Both containers are equipped with position switches to detect the liquid level, when the oil level reaches a certain height, an alarm signal can be issued to prompt the discharge.
3.2. Forced hydrogen circulation function
There is a built-in vortex rotary fan installed in the hydrogen return filter container, hydrogen is pressurized by the operation of the fan, so that the fan before and after the air pressure difference of about 12Kpa or so, under the action of the pressure difference force, the hydrogen circulates in the closed pipeline between the fan, the dryer and the generator, thus forming the drying cycle of the gas.
