sao tome and principe Box heavy hammer crusher

Product Description

The box-type crusher, also known as the heavy-hammer crusher or square-box crusher, incorporates advanced domestic and international technologies, combining the features of conventional heavy-hammer crushers, impact crushers, vertical shaft heavy hammer crushers, and various machines that utilise hammers (or flat hammers) to impact and crush stone. Following optimised design, this has resulted in the production of the latest generation of crushing machinery. It has replaced the method of controlling output particle size via grating bars, reducing wear on the hammers within the crushing chamber and extending their service life by 4–6 times. Each set of hammers can crush 30,000–40,000 tonnes of stone, marking a major breakthrough in crushing technology and truly achieving twice the result with half the effort.

The box-type crusher features heavy individual hammers, high rotor speed and high rotational inertia, fully demonstrating the advantages of ‘breaking large with small’ and ‘crushing heavy with light’, whilst possessing the unique capability to perform incremental crushing of oversized stone blocks.

1. Working Principle

Aggregate falls directly from the top of the machine into the high-speed rotating disc. Under the action of high-speed centrifugal force, high-velocity impacts and high-density crushing occur. After colliding with one another, the aggregate forms a vortex movement between the disc and the housing, resulting in repeated mutual impacts, friction and crushing until it is reduced to the required particle size.

2. Product Structure

The frame of the box-type crusher features a three-section design. Maintenance tasks such as replacing hammer plates, crushing plates and liners can be carried out simply by opening the rear housing. The components of the box-type crusher are highly interchangeable, with few types of wear parts, facilitating the procurement and management of spare parts. A hydraulic opening mechanism is used to open and close the housing, effectively reducing the labour intensity of maintenance, improving maintenance efficiency, and shortening maintenance time. The box-type crusher’s monitoring system allows for real-time monitoring of the crusher’s operating status; monitoring signals can be interlocked with the main control system to ensure safe and reliable operation of the machine. The drive system of the box-type crusher employs a configuration of electric motor + mechanical coupling + V-belt + crusher, which effectively improves the motor’s starting performance, enabling smooth start-up and operation. The belt drive provides dual overload protection, whilst the drive system requires low motor power, significantly reducing operating costs. This drive solution is economical, practical, high-performing, safe and reliable.

3. Product Advantages

3.1. It can effectively process materials with high moisture content, preventing blockages in the crusher.

3.2. The crusher is suitable for both soft materials and materials of very high hardness.

3.3. The discharge particle size can be adjusted conveniently and flexibly, with a wide adjustment range.

3.4. Wear on vulnerable parts is less than that of hammer crushers, and metal utilisation is high.

3.5. Spare parts are easy to replace, and maintenance costs are correspondingly reduced.

4. Performance Features

The box-type crusher is a newly developed medium and fine crushing equipment, and is currently widely used worldwide as a replacement for cone crushers, double-roll crushers and ball mills. It features an innovative and unique design, ensuring smooth operation. It possesses shaping capabilities, producing cubic-shaped products with high bulk density. During the production process, the crushed stone forms a protective layer at the bottom, preventing wear on the machine body and ensuring long-term durability. The few wear-prone components are made from ultra-hard, wear-resistant materials; they are compact and lightweight, facilitating easy replacement. Driven by an electric motor, the rotor disc of the box-type crusher propels the hammers in high-speed circular motion. When material enters the crushing chamber, large chunks are deposited on the specially designed central support bars within the machine. Material that remains larger than the required size after initial crushing is propelled along the tangential direction of the hammers towards the impact plate for further crushing, thereby achieving both coarse and medium crushing in a single pass. Finally, material meeting the specifications is discharged after being sized and graded by the screen plate.
