Product description

Brake:

Brake is the mechanical safety protection device of car dumper. Each set of car dumper has four brakes, two at the inlet and outlet, which belongs to a double protection form, and can realize the braking of car dumper at any angle.

The brake type of car dumper is electric hydraulic push rod block brake. Generally, the maximum braking torque is about 1000N.m. The composition and working principle of this type of brake are briefly introduced as follows:

 

1. Brake type:

1.1. Block brake

The structure of block brake is simple, and the installation, adjustment and maintenance are very convenient. Because the two brake pads are symmetrically arranged, when the structure meets certain conditions, the pressure is basically balanced with each other, the radial load acting on the brake axle is very small, and the maximum braking torque is large, so it is widely used in cranes.

Block brake is mainly composed of brake wheel, brake pad, brake spring, brake arm, brake release device, frame and other main parts. The braking is realized by the friction between the brake pad installed on the frame and the brake wheel on the rotating shaft.

1.2. Electro hydraulic push rod brake

The brake used in dumper drive unit is generally electro-hydraulic push rod brake, which uses electro-hydraulic push rod instead of lever system and electromagnet in long stroke brake as brake release device. When the mechanism is working, the small motor in the electro-hydraulic push rod turns on and drives the centrifugal oil pump (impeller) to throw out the hydraulic oil in the upper part of the piston and enter the lower part of the piston through the channel to push the piston and push rod up to release the brake; when the mechanism stops working, the small electric motor is powered off, and the piston and push rod are reset downward under the action of spring force to realize holding brake. Its main advantages are: smooth braking, low noise, small volume, light weight, long service life, constant thrust, small motor power (0.06 ~ 0.4KW), allowing frequent action (720 times per hour).

 

2. Installation position of brake and adjustment and inspection of brake release clearance:

2.1. Installation of brake

The block brake should be installed on the high-speed shaft in the mechanism. Because the higher the speed is, the smaller the torque is and the smaller the braking torque is required, so the smaller brake can be selected. Usually, the brake is installed between the motor and the reducer, so that the brake wheel and half of the coupling can be integrated. In the two half couplings, the half coupling installed on the reducer shaft should be used as the brake wheel. Because in case of coupling failure, the brake can still brake the reducer and the working mechanism behind it to ensure work safety.

2.2. Adjustment of brake release clearance

For the block brake, when the brake is released, there should be a certain gap between the brake pad and the brake wheel, so as to ensure the complete separation of the brake pad and the brake wheel, and avoid the abnormal friction between the brake pad and the brake wheel. The minimum brake release clearance is usually δ = 0.4 ~ 0.8 mm, and the maximum clearance is about 1.5 times of the minimum clearance, i.e. 1.56 δ. In addition to meeting the above maximum and minimum clearance requirements, the adjustment of brake release clearance should also make the left and right, up and down clearances between the two brake pads and the brake wheel equal. The adjustment can be carried out by adjusting devices installed on the brake, such as adjusting screws.

2.3 inspection and maintenance of brake

2.3.1. Check whether the hinge points of the brake are flexible, and lubricate and maintain the hinge points of the brake every month to ensure that the brake shaft pin is well lubricated.

2.3.2. Check whether the thickness of the brake shoe is normal, and ensure that the brake shoe is greater than 50% of the original thickness.

2.3.3. Check the oil level and oil quality of the electric cylinder. Regularly check the oil level every month and check the oil every year to ensure the normal oil level.

2.3.4. Check whether the clearance between the left and right, up and down of the shoe is normal when the brake is released.

2.3.5. Check whether the brake spring is normal and whether it is broken to ensure that the brake torque is within the normal range.

2.3.6. Check whether the wear of brake wheel is normal. When the concave convex of brake wheel surface reaches 3mm, it should be replaced in time.

2.4. Precautions for daily use of brake:

2.4.1. The axle pins of the brake shall be lubricated and maintained frequently to prevent the brake from being insensitive.

2.4.2. The oil level of hydraulic push rod brake should be kept at a proper position. If the oil level is too low, the brake will not work properly.

2.4.3. If there is a problem in the control system, it is easy to cause the brake holding operation accident. If it is not handled in time, it will cause the brake tile burning, motor overload, and even fire when it is serious. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the operation.
