1. Introduction

1.1. Purpose

The air separator is suitable for the coarse and fine separation of fly ash in power plant and the particle size separation of solid particles in metallurgy, mining, chemical industry, waste treatment and other industries.

1.2. Working principle

Under the action of negative pressure, the gas-solid two-phase mixed flow enters the separator from the inlet of raw ash. Under the action of gravity and centrifugal force, the particles with large mass tend to the wall because of the large centrifugal force. When the particles touch the wall, they move along the separator shell until they touch the opposite wall and are discharged from the coarse ash outlet; Due to the small centrifugal force, small particles can not overcome the negative pressure of vortex and are sucked into the volute, so they are discharged from the fine ash outlet. Due to the agglomeration of particles and the entrainment of large particles, there are always some small particles mixed into the coarse ash; in order to reduce the fine ash content in the coarse ash, the secondary air inlet is often added at the ash outlet of the coarse ash. When the secondary air valve is opened, air is drawn in due to the negative pressure inside the machine, and a layer of air curtain is formed at the outlet of coarse ash. The particles with large mass are discharged from the outlet of coarse ash through the air curtain, while the particles with small mass are blown back to the vortex area, thus improving the separation efficiency. At the same time, the large particles in the inner layer of the inlet are not enough to overcome the attraction of the vortex area due to the low air velocity and close to the volute flow area. Therefore, a small amount of coarse ash must be contained in the fine ash, which will affect the quality of the fine ash. Therefore, in practice, the particle size adjusting plate is often added to control the content of coarse ash in the fine ash, so as to improve the separation efficiency.

 

2. Characteristics of air separator

2.1. advanced nature

2.1.1. There are no running parts inside, stable operation, convenient operation and small maintenance.

2.1.2. The curve design of air ash flow part is reasonable, and the wear is minimized.

2.1.3. The resistance is less than or equal to 1500pa, and the energy consumption is low.

2.1.4. The separation efficiency is greater than or equal to 85%.

2.1.5. The position mark is set at the baffle adjustment position, which can accurately reflect the baffle position of separator.

2.1.6. The baffle plate adjustment adopts worm gear transmission design, which is stable and reliable.

2.1.7. The cover plates on both sides are easy to open and quick to install, which makes the disassembly convenient and reduces the maintenance workload.

2.2. High wear resistance

The high wear-resistant corundum ceramic flakes with alumina content of more than 98% and HRC (hardness index) of 84 ~ 97] are adhered to the easily worn parts, and the service life of the whole machine is greater than or equal to 60000h,

2.3. Adjustability

There are four kinds of fineness adjustment means in the air separator, and the separation granularity can be adjusted in a wide range (3% ~ 24%).

2.3.1. Adjust the inlet damper of high pressure fan to adjust the total air volume.

2.3.2. Adjust the secondary air volume of the separator.

2.3.3. Adjust the position of particle size adjusting plate of separator.

2.3.4. Change the outlet vortex orifice plate of separator.

2.4. Practicability

The air separator has a large capacity, and the maximum capacity of a single machine can reach 60t / h
