1. Introduction
1.1. Purpose
DC type long-distance curve belt conveyor is used when the starting point and the end point of the conveyor line cannot be connected in a straight line. The curved running line is used to bypass obstacles or unfavorable sections, so as to realize less or no intermediate transfer station, so as to reduce the number of equipment. It is widely used in power plants, ports, metallurgy, cement, mines and other industries with its outstanding performance of economy, environmental protection, energy saving and strong adaptability to complex terrain.

1.3. Structural characteristics
1.3.1. The common driving modes of DC long-distance curve belt conveyor are as follows:
1.3.1.1. variable frequency motor (+ frequency converter) + reducer → variable frequency speed regulation drive. The frequency conversion drive can improve the starting performance of the conveyor, control the conveyor to start and brake according to the set curve, and meet the dynamic stability and reliability requirements of the whole machine.
1.3.1.2. Liquid viscous governor drive. Liquid viscosity speed regulating drive is also commonly used in the transmission device of long-distance curve belt conveyor. It can control the starting acceleration of curve belt conveyor, so that the drive device can provide adjustable, smooth and impact free starting torque.
1.3.1.3. Hydraulic motor drive. The hydraulic motor drive system can ensure that the motor starts up to the rated speed without load. It can not only control the running speed of the belt conveyor by adjusting the hydraulic pump, but also ensure the power balance of the multi machine drive of the long-distance curve belt conveyor.
1.3.1.4. Controlled start stop soft start CST drive. CST driving device can adjust and control the start and stop acceleration of long-distance curve belt conveyor in a large range.
1.3.2. The roller, idler and other parts of DC long-distance curve belt conveyor are basically the same as those of ordinary belt conveyor.
1.3.3. The conveyor belt turnover device shall be arranged at the head and tail of the conveyor to avoid soiling the idler and scattering materials along the belt conveyor line, reduce the wear of the conveyor belt and idler, and extend the service life of the conveyor belt.
1.4. Working principle
DC type long-distance curve belt conveyor is a kind of common belt conveyor, which uses the belt as the traction and bearing component, carries the material through the movement of the belt carrying the material, raises the inner curve of the belt and installs the idler with a certain angle of inclination, so that the conveyor produces an outward centrifugal thrust to overcome the belt tension caused by the turning Centripetal force to ensure the turning operation of the conveyor belt is a new type of continuous conveying equipment which uses common belt conveyor components to realize plane turning. The running line can bypass obstacles or unfavorable sections to realize the natural direction change of the conveyor belt operation. Long distance curve belt conveyor can realize multiple continuous horizontal turns and three-dimensional turns.
See figure 28-1 for the stress diagram at the turning of DC long-distance curve belt conveyor. When the belt runs to the curve, the resultant force FC of the belt tension points to the inside along the normal direction of the curve, which makes the belt produce the trend of inward deviation. As the curve elevation angle is set in the bending section, the centrifugal force FR, the centrifugal friction force FR between the conveyor belt and the idler, and the centrifugal inertia force FQ, which are generated by the inclination angle of the material and conveyor belt, are directed to the outside side, so that the conveyor belt generates an outward thrust, which balances with the FC and realizes the automatic alignment of the conveyor belt. Therefore, when the conveyor belt turns, it should meet FC + FG + FR + FQ = 0

4. Selection method
DC type long-distance curve belt conveyor can be designed in a variety of layout ways.
