1. Main task of the turbine governor:

With the continuous change of power grid system load, the frequency of power grid system will change continuously. The main task of hydraulic turbine governor is to maintain the rated speed of hydraulic turbine generator unit by adjusting the output power of hydraulic turbine generator unit. The process that the turbine changes the guide vane opening (or needle valve stroke) accordingly with the change of unit load to restore and maintain the unit speed to the rated value or a predetermined value is called turbine regulation.

According to the principle of asynchronous AC motor: speed n = 60f / P, where: f - frequency; P -- magnetic pole pair data. The speed n is directly proportional to the power frequency f. adjusting the unit speed is to adjust the unit output frequency. Turbine regulation is essentially speed regulation. The device for this regulation is called turbine governor. It realizes the adjustment of guide vane opening based on the deviation of unit speed.

 

2. The speed governing system of hydraulic turbine is generally composed of speed governing cabinet, servomotor and oil pressure device.

2.1 the governor cabinet is the main equipment controlling the hydraulic turbine, which can feel and amplify the command, and operate the actuator to keep the speed within the rated range. The governor cabinet can also start and stop the turbine, and set the governor parameters.

2.2 servomotor, the actuator of the governor, the servomotor controls the speed regulating ring (control ring) of the hydraulic turbine to adjust the opening of the guide vane to change the flow into the hydraulic turbine.

2.3 the oil pressure device is composed of pressure oil tank, return oil tank and oil pump. 1 / 3 of the pressure oil tank is oil and 2 / 3 is compressed air to ensure the stability of oil pressure. The rated oil pressure of the oil tank is generally 2.5MPa and 4.0Mpa. If the oil level in the pressure oil tank reaches the lower limit and the oil pressure is lower than the rated pressure by 0.2 ~ 0.3MPa, the oil pump will work automatically. Put the oil pressure in the return oil tank into the pressure oil tank. When the oil level in the tank reaches the specified position and the pressure reaches the rated oil pressure, the oil pump will shut down automatically. Two oil pumps are set for safety, which are standby for each other. The speed control cabinet, servomotor and oil pressure device of small and medium-sized governor are combined into a whole; The speed control cabinet, servomotor and oil pressure device of large governor are set separately.

 

3. Type of governor

3.1. According to different speed measuring elements, the governor can be divided into mechanical hydraulic type and electrical hydraulic type. The mechanical hydraulic control part is mechanical components (flying pendulum, lever, etc.), and the operation part is hydraulic system; The electro-hydraulic control part is the frequency measurement circuit (frequency measurement, amplification and feedback), and the operation part is the hydraulic system.

3.2. According to the number of regulating mechanisms, it is divided into single regulation and double regulation. Single regulation refers to taking the diversion mechanism as the only regulation object, which is suitable for Francis and axial flow fixed propeller turbines; Double regulation refers to the regulator with double regulation objects, such as axial flow propeller turbine, which not only regulates the water guide mechanism, but also regulates the rotation angle of runner blade; Impulse turbine regulates both needle valve and baffle. 3.3 according to the different capacity of the governor, it can be divided into large and medium-sized governors. The diameter of main pressure distribution valve of large governor is greater than 80mm; The speed regulation work of medium-sized governor is 10000-30000N.m; The speed regulation work of small governor is less than 10000N.m.
