Gear driven Empty Wagon Shunter

1. Usage

Gear driven empty wagon shunter is suitable for coal-fired power plants, sintering plants, coal preparation plants, iron and steel enterprises, ports, docks and other factories and mines to select the dumper for unloading operation as supporting equipment. It runs on the track parallel to the empty car line and gathers the empty cars on the empty car line. It can also be used to dispatch empty cars on a straight railway line.

3. Structure overview

3.1. Main body: it is composed of a large steel structure with enough rigidity, and there is enough space on it to install the transmission part sleeve, traveling part sleeve, boom, etc.

3.2. Traveling wheel: the shunter is equipped with four traveling wheels in total. The wheels are not provided with rims, and the outer circle is hardened by overheating treatment. The wheel is supported on the spindle by the bearing, the three wheels are connected on the vehicle body with bolt steel, and welded with the vehicle body. The other wheel is equipped with spring body elastic connection, which has three functions: one is to keep the body level through adjustment, so as to ensure that the transmission pinion engages with the ground rack as a line; the other is to reduce vibration; the third is to ensure that all four vehicles can bear the weight of the shunter body.

3.3. Guide wheel: the shunter is equipped with four guide wheels, which can use the reaction force of guide rail to ensure that the shunter does not deflect and fall off the track during operation; it can also overcome the torque generated during the traction of the vehicle through guide rail.

3.4. Fixed shunting arm: draw the empty car through the shunting arm.

3.5. Transmission device: the shunter has 2 sets of transmission devices. The traction of the shunter is obtained by meshing two groups of gears on a rack on the ground. Each driving unit is composed of a driving motor, a friction clutch, a hydraulic push rod brake, a rotary reducer, a transmission shaft and a pinion on the transmission. Each traveling driving device is self-contained.

 

4. Working process

The empty wagon unloaded by the dumper shall be aligned with the empty wagon line, the empty wagon shunter shall be started, the empty wagon shall be pushed to the empty wagon line, the transfer platform shall leave, and the empty wagon shunter shall run to the required position. Then the motor reverses and the empty car shunter returns to the starting position. When the transfer platform delivers the second empty car, the empty car shunter circulates.

 

5. Installation and commissioning

The installation of this product shall be sent out according to the general drawing and basic drawing. The installation of the ground fixed rack is very important. During the operation, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the fixed bolts on the rack are loose at any time. If they are loose, they should be tightened in time.

The meshing of the transmission gear and the ground rack of the shunter is realized by the adjustment of four guide wheels. Because of the installation error of the ground guide rail and the installation error of the ground rack, when the adjustment of the four guide wheels is not correct, it is easy to cause the meshing clearance between the gear and the rack to be too large or too small, or even cause the transmission gear to be stuck. Therefore, the side clearance between the gear and the rack is not determined according to the accuracy level. The minimum side clearance is required to be between 0.5-1 in the meshing process, and the size of the side clearance depends on the eccentric guide wheel. Note that the clearance between the guide wheel and the guide rail should not exceed 3mm. In order to ensure that the axis of the transmission pinion is vertical to the horizontal plane, and that the contact spot of the gear is not less than 50% along the tooth length, the height of the four wheels must be carefully adjusted.

The cable trolley has been installed in the factory. During the field installation, it should be noted that the trolley rail surface should be smooth and flat. If there is any unevenness, the electric grinding wheel should be used to polish the unevenness. After the cable trolley is used for a period of time, the bearing part shall be removed, cleaned and greased again.

6. Use and maintenance

Before start-up, check whether the power supply and voltage meet the requirements of the machine circuit; check whether the relevant operating switch handle and display instrument are damaged or fail. Check the travel switch, valve and fastening frequently, and eliminate the problems in time.
